Request account deletion – Brytr
If you want your Brytr account and associated data deleted, follow the steps below. This page applies to the Brytr app and web platform offered by CarbonEnfo, LLC.
Steps to request that your account and data are deleted
- In the Brytr mobile app: Open the app → go to Account (or Menu) → Account Settings → tap Request account deletion. This opens our support form so you can submit your request.
- On the web or by email: Contact us at support@brytr.us with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your Brytr account so we can identify it.
- Or use our contact form: and select or mention “Account deletion request.”
After we receive your request, we will process it in line with the timelines and practices described below.
Data we delete
When we process your account deletion request, we delete or anonymize the following:
- Account and profile information (name, email, phone number, username)
- Login credentials and authentication data (including revocation of access)
- Energy asset and inverter information linked to your account
- Wallet and balance data associated with your account
- Device and app identifiers (e.g. FCM tokens) used for your account
- Invitation and onboarding data that identifies you
Your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to sign in. Remaining records may be anonymized (e.g. replaced with non-identifying placeholders) where needed for system integrity or legal compliance.
Data we may keep
We may retain the following where required or permitted by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Legal and regulatory: Copies of data we are required to keep by law (e.g. tax, financial, or regulatory requirements) for the period mandated by applicable law.
- Anonymized or aggregated data: Information that no longer identifies you, used for analytics, reporting, or improving our services.
- Support and dispute records: Where necessary for resolving disputes, enforcing our terms, or defending legal claims, for the period required for those purposes.
Retention and processing time
- We aim to process account deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity and the request.
- Some data may be retained for a longer period where required by law (for example, certain financial or tax records). Where that applies, we retain only what is necessary and delete or anonymize it when the retention period ends.
